(This message was added in version 6.7.0.) in /home/cyclorama/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6114Last year local e-MTB guide, Shay Muddle, accompanied riders up Mt Rosa. This year he’s found a new ride – Arrowtown’s Crown Peak.
You’ll ride from the Festival Village in Arrowtown up Tobin’s Track before you reach Glencoe Station and begin the main part of the breathtaking ride up the hill to Crown Peak. At the top you’ll be rewarded with amazing views back to Queenstown and across to Wanaka and beyond.
This ride requires reasonable MTB experience – it will give you a chance to challenge yourself and take your riding to the next level.
Riders depart Arrowtown at 8.30am Saturday and Sunday, returning approximately 1.00pm.
Ride to the Sky is considered grade 3 with decent climbs (1426 metres) and descents; the biking distance is approximately 28km return. Battery power will need to be conserved or ensure you have a 650 watt battery. Shay and Tony Moore from The Inside Line will accompany you. Both are experienced local bike guides. We have contracted with Tony, who is registered with Work Safe as an Adventure Activity Operator, to provide this ride.
Shay has a fleet of awesome full suspension e-MTB bikes available for hire. If you are unsure about your bike’s suitability, we recommend renting one of his because it’s vital you have the right bike for this ride. You can do this when you book your ride.
Ride numbers are limited.
